Investing in self-generation of energy: a concrete step towards a more efficient and sustainable industry

Our company is continuing its commitment to innovation and sustainability through a new investment in self-generated energy from renewable sources, carried out under Measure M7 I16 – REPowerEU, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU. CUP: C15H25004140004

This initiative forms part of an energy strategy already launched in previous years thanks to the installation of a 127.36 kWp photovoltaic system. The new project involves the construction of a further photovoltaic system, with a capacity of 136 kWp and state-of-the-art panels, accompanied by an energy audit aimed at conducting an in-depth analysis of the company’s energy consumption and identifying further opportunities for efficiency improvements.

The main objective of the investment is to increase the proportion of energy self-generated and directly self-consumed during the production cycle. Maximising self-consumption means using the energy generated on-site more efficiently, reducing reliance on the national electricity grid and improving the company’s competitiveness.

Expanding our solar power generation capacity will also enable us to increase the company’s energy independence, limiting our exposure to fluctuations in energy prices and strengthening the resilience of our production system. At the same time, the increase in renewable energy production will contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving the objectives of the green transition.

This project, thanks to the contribution from the European Union – NextGenerationEU, reaffirms our company’s commitment to combining innovation, sustainability and competitiveness, by investing in solutions that generate value from both an environmental and economic perspective.

Self-generation of energy, in fact, a strategic element in ensuring sustainable growth, improving the efficiency of production processes and building an industrial model that is increasingly autonomous, resilient and future-oriented.
